At the United Community Center of Westchester (UCCW), we firmly believe in the transformative power of art to enhance lives and strengthen communities. Thanks to the invaluable support of ArtsWestchester and its Arts Alive grant program, we have launched the “Between Friends” Art Workshop, a space where creativity becomes a bridge to connection and self-expression.
Every Saturday, participants gather to explore their artistic potential, whether they are experienced artists or simply curious beginners. This workshop has become a welcoming space, providing a safe and supportive environment where they can freely express themselves through various forms of art. The creative activities are designed not only to inspire personal growth but also to foster new forms of expression, entrepreneurial possibilities, and empowerment.
With funding from Arts Westchester, UCCW has been able to engage talented local artists to guide participants in projects such as painting and drawing. Attendees not only learn new skills but also build meaningful connections with others in the community, creating bonds that extend beyond the workshop. These artistic sessions offer more than just a creative outlet; they provide an opportunity for reflection, empowerment, and positive change.

Taller de Arte “Entre Amigos” – Un Viaje Creativo en UCCW Gracias al Apoyo de Arts Westchester
En el Centro Comunitario Unido de Westchester (UCCW), creemos firmemente en el poder transformador del arte para mejorar vidas y fortalecer comunidades. Gracias al invaluable apoyo de Arts Westchester y su programa de subvenciones Arts Alive, hemos implementado el Taller de Arte “Entre Amigos”, un espacio donde la creatividad se convierte en un puente hacia la conexión y la autoexpresión.
Cada sábado, las participantes se reúnen para explorar su potencial artístico, sin importar si son artistas experimentadas o simplemente curiosas por aprender.
