HOW WE DO IT

Our team works well from the moment someone walks in and is greeted by our Intake coordinator to then being seated with a case manager for a more profound understanding of necessity. Our staff will document and save all visits in a database as well as a hard copy file for future returns. We continuously work and collaborate with all neighboring center, hospitals, clients, law firm ETC to make certain optimal assistance is obtained by person in need. We are honored to provide our support to more than five hundred individuals and families per month.

Our UCCW’s clients are “walk-ins” and referrals from local organizations and government offices such as, law enforcement, city courts, schools, churches, domestic violence centers, medical centers/hospitals, hotlines, and housing agencies. Our goal is strengthening the neighborhood we all love by building partnerships to invest and to develop permanent solutions that empower low-income individuals, families, at-risk children, youth, battered women, seniors, immigrants, and people with disabilities to overcome obstacles, as we strive toward greater opportunity throughout all of Westchester.

WHY WE DO IT

We are committed in treating all walks of life who enter our offices with dignity and respect. Our values are to deliver all services in a professional and kind approach.

Our team believes in serving our community members including immigrants and native-born residents through an organization that avoids the difficulty of navigating a complex system, always committed to help low-income families and individuals to improve the quality life and promote a healthy integration into the community.

The frustration, isolation, and fear that limits immigrants with language, education, and health barriers creates severe economic and social disruptions producing vulnerability to legal issues, homelessness, malnutrition, abuse, discrimination, family dissolution and severe health complications.
