SOCIAL SERVICE

The United Community Center of Westchester, Inc. (UCCW) is an organization committed to providing critical resources to meet the basic needs of people in difficult situations. Our focus is on providing healthcare, education, food, safe shelter and emergency assistance, with the goal of helping those who need it most. Our team works diligently to carefully assess each individual case and understand our clients’ unique circumstances. Through this comprehensive assessment, we are able to identify the specific resources and services to which they are entitled. Whether they need medical care, access to educational programs, nutritious food, safe shelter or emergency assistance, we strive to direct our clients to the most appropriate options for their needs.

We recognize that we cannot address all of these needs on our own, so we build strong relationships with outside agencies to provide a comprehensive support system. We work closely with partners in hospitals, county offices, government agencies, law enforcement, housing authorities and other community agencies. Through these strategic partnerships, we are able to expand our ability to help people more effectively and provide them with access to a wide range of services and resources. Our collaboration with hospitals and clinics allows us to ensure that those in need of medical care receive appropriate treatment. We work with county offices and government agencies to ensure that our clients have access to programs and benefits for which they are eligible. In addition, our cooperation with law enforcement allows us to provide a safe and secure environment for those seeking shelter and emergency assistance.

We analyze each individual case carefully to direct our clients into obtain the resources and services to which they are entitled to.

We perform our work with the recognition of the importance of connecting and joining forces with outside agencies as an integral part of providing this much-needed support system and this is accomplished by partners in hospitals, county offices, government agencies, law enforcement, housing authorities and others community-based agencies.
