As we age, taking care of our health becomes even more important. However, many seniors face challenges in accessing regular medical check-ups due to mobility issues, lack of transportation, or financial constraints. This is why programs like TIPS (Telehealth Intervention Programs for Seniors) are crucial—they provide easy, secure, and freeaccess to health monitoring tools.
On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the United Community Center of Westchester will host a free informational session on TIPS, where attendees can learn about this innovative program and receive a free vital signs check-up.
Why is this event important?
Preventive healthcare is key to living a full and active life. Many health conditions affecting seniors, such as high blood pressure or low oxygen levels, can go unnoticed until they become serious. Regular health monitoring can make a significant difference in early detection and managing chronic conditions.
During this session, attendees will have the opportunity to:
Get a free check-up including blood pressure, oxygen levels, weight, and pulse monitoring. Receive a personalized health assessment with a registered nurse. Learn about available senior support resources and programs. Connect with others in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Plus, as a special bonus, those who participate in the vital signs check-up will receive a free gift (while supplies last).

El próximo martes 8 de abril de 2025, el United Community Center of Westchester abrirá sus puertas para una sesión informativa gratuita sobre TIPS, donde los asistentes no solo podrán aprender sobre este innovador programa, sino que también podrán chequear sus signos vitales sin costo.
¿Por qué es importante este evento?
La salud preventiva es clave para una vida plena y activa. Muchos problemas de salud en adultos mayores, como la hipertensión o niveles bajos de oxígeno, pueden pasar desapercibidos hasta que se convierten en emergencias. Medir su presión arterial, oxígeno en sangre, peso y pulso de manera gratuita. Recibir una evaluación de salud personalizada con una enfermera registrada. Acceder a información sobre recursos y programas de apoyo para adultos mayores. Compartir un espacio de bienestar y conexión con la comunidad.
Además, como incentivo especial, quienes participen en la revisión de signos vitales recibirán un obsequio gratuito (hasta agotar existencias).
