Last week, UCCW attended an exciting announcement hosted by Westchester County Government and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
We’re grateful to Westchester County and RPI for the invitation to this groundbreaking event, where County Executive Ken Jenkins revealed a new strategic partnership with RPI aimed at expanding access to on-demand, top-tier STEM education for working professionals in our region.
This initiative, launched at the vibrant Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., marks a major step forward in making high-quality education more accessible to our community, especially for individuals balancing jobs, family, and personal responsibilities. By offering flexible, industry-aligned learning opportunities, this partnership opens the door to:
🔹 Career advancement in fast-growing STEM fields
🔹 Skill-building for entrepreneurs and small business owners
🔹 Greater equity in workforce development
🔹 Direct access to resources from a world-class institution like RPI
As an organization committed to community empowerment, UCCW is thrilled to learn about initiatives like this one. They allow us to better inform, connect, and uplift our community members, especially those who may not otherwise have access to high-level educational pathways.

Nuevas oportunidades en educación STEM para nuestra comunidad
La semana pasada, UCCW tuvo el honor de asistir a un importante anuncio organizado por el Gobierno del Condado de Westchester y el Instituto Politécnico Rensselaer (RPI).
Agradecemos sinceramente al Gobierno del Condado y a RPI por la invitación a este evento inspirador, donde el Ejecutivo del Condado, Ken Jenkins, presentó una nueva alianza estratégica con Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute para ofrecer educación STEM de alta calidad, en modalidad on demand, a los profesionales que trabajan en nuestra comunidad.
El evento, realizado en el animado espacio de Captain Lawrence Brewing Co., fue mucho más que un anuncio institucional: fue una puerta abierta hacia un futuro más accesible, inclusivo y prometedor para quienes buscan avanzar en su formación y sus carreras.
Esta iniciativa representa una gran oportunidad para nuestra comunidad, ya que permite:
