United Community Center of Westchester Inc. had the honor of joining the 2025 Juneteenth commemoration hosted by Westchester Women’s Agenda at the historic Philipse Manor Hall. It was a meaningful gathering that brought together neighbors, leaders, and advocates to reflect on our shared history and to spark important conversations about justice and repair.
Under the powerful theme “Meeting the Moment in Movement,” the morning offered space for dialogue, connection, and collective action. Participants engaged in heartfelt discussions, honoring the resilience of those who fought for freedom and recognizing the responsibility we all share to continue pushing for equity and lasting change.
Moments like these remind us that Juneteenth is more than a date in our calendars; it is an ongoing call to stand together, build stronger communities, and address the injustices that persist today.
We are grateful to Westchester Women’s Agenda for creating this opportunity to gather in unity and purpose at such a significant historical site.
