UCCW Joins the Clean Energy Movement at Westchester County’s Job and Resources Fair

At United Community Center of Westchester, Inc. we believe that a greener, more sustainable future begins with strong partnerships and a shared purpose. This is why we were proud to take part in the Westchester County Government Clean Energy Job and Resources Fair, held at the Westchester County Center — a place filled with opportunity, innovation, and community action.
Throughout the event, UCCW had the honor of representing our community alongside other inspiring organizations that work every day to make the clean energy transition accessible and just. From meaningful conversations to sharing valuable resources, the fair reminded us how powerful we can be when we come together for a common goal.
The atmosphere was full of excitement and possibility. Students, job seekers, advocates, and professionals came to explore career opportunities in the clean energy field, connect with local employers, and learn new ways to help build resilient, environmentally conscious communities.
We are especially grateful to our partners Sustainable Westchester, the Westchester County Office of Economic Development, and New Yorkers for Clean Power. Their dedication continues to inspire our mission to open doors for community members to find green jobs, receive quality training, and contribute to a fair and healthy environment for all.
This fair was not only about employment opportunities but also about hope, community empowerment, and protecting our planet for future generations. UCCW remains committed to making sure that every neighborhood, especially those historically overlooked, has access to resources and a seat at the table in the clean energy movement.
As we move forward together, we celebrate the connections made and the renewed commitment to a cleaner, brighter tomorrow for everyone.

En United Community Center of Westchester, Inc. creemos firmemente que un futuro más verde y sostenible se construye con alianzas sólidas y un propósito compartido. Por eso nos sentimos orgullosos de haber participado en la Feria de Empleo y Recursos de Energía Limpia organizada por el Gobierno del Condado de Westchester, realizada en el Westchester County Center, un espacio lleno de oportunidades, innovación y acción comunitaria.
Durante el evento, UCCW tuvo el honor de compartir espacio con otras organizaciones inspiradoras que trabajan día a día para lograr una transición energética justa y accesible para todos. Fue una jornada llena de conversaciones valiosas, intercambio de recursos y sobre todo, la confirmación de que la unión comunitaria hace posible los grandes cambios.
La energía que se sentía era contagiosa. Estudiantes, personas en búsqueda de empleo, defensores ambientales y profesionales se reunieron para descubrir oportunidades de trabajo en el sector de energía limpia, conectar con empleadores locales y aprender nuevas formas de fortalecer comunidades más resilientes y conscientes del cuidado del medio ambiente.
