Westchester Unites for Immigrant Justice: UCCW Joins the Rally for NY4All
On Monday, June 2nd, Van Der Donck Park in Yonkers became a powerful stage for hope, solidarity, and action as communities from across Westchester gathered to demand justice for immigrants in New York State.
The United Community Center of Westchester, Inc. proudly stood among advocates, families, students, and organizations at the NY4All Rally, calling for the passage of the #NY4All bill — a critical piece of legislation that seeks to guarantee access to essential state services for all New Yorkers, regardless of immigration status.
A Visible Presence, a Constant Commitment
At UCCW, we don’t just speak of equity — we live it, advocate for it, and work every day to make it a reality.
Our participation in the rally was more than symbolic. It was a reflection of our unwavering commitment to those who are still unheard, those who face barriers in silence, and those whose dignity and humanity are too often overlooked.
We were there for the families who live in fear. For the essential workers who build and care for our communities. For young dreamers searching for a future.
We were there because justice cannot wait.
A Call to Collective Awareness
Throughout the rally, we listened to powerful testimonies from immigrant families, local leaders, and community organizers. Their voices echoed with truth: the fight for immigrant rights is not just political — it’s deeply human.
Communities from New Rochelle, Yonkers, and beyond showed that when we come together, we can create real and lasting change.
What Is NY4All?
The NY4All legislation aims to ensure that all state residents — regardless of immigration status — can access vital services such as healthcare, housing, and education. It would remove bureaucratic restrictions that currently block tens of thousands of immigrants from receiving the support they need to thrive.
At UCCW, we fully support this legislation and remain committed to ensuring that information, resources, and support reach the people who need them most.
The Work Continues
While the rally was a meaningful step forward, the movement is far from over.
UCCW continues to stand at the forefront of this effort, offering programs, advocacy, and a safe space for immigrant families in Westchester and beyond.
We will keep showing up because every person deserves to be seen, heard, and protected.

El pasado lunes 2 de junio, en el corazón de Yonkers, Van Der Donck Park se llenó de voces, pancartas y corazones firmes con un mismo mensaje: ¡Justicia para todos los inmigrantes en Nueva York!
En representación del United Community Center of Westchester, Inc. nos unimos al rally por NY4All, una convocatoria impulsada por organizaciones comunitarias y defensores de los derechos humanos, exigiendo la aprobación de la ley #NY4All, una legislación vital que garantizaría acceso a servicios esenciales y protecciones para todos los neoyorquinos, sin importar su estatus migratorio.
Presencia activa, compromiso constante
Desde UCCW, no solo creemos en la equidad, sino que la vivimos y defendemos cada día a través de nuestros programas, servicios y presencia activa en la comunidad.
Nuestra participación en esta movilización reafirma una verdad profunda:

Un llamado a la conciencia colectiva
Durante el evento, líderes locales, activistas, estudiantes y familias inmigrantes compartieron testimonios cargados de valentía, esperanza y dolor. Cada historia recordaba que la lucha por los derechos de los inmigrantes no es política: es humana.
La comunidad de New Rochelle, Yonkers y todo Westchester demostró que, unida, puede convertirse en una fuerza que transforma la realidad.
¿Qué implica NY4All?
La legislación #NY4All busca garantizar que todos los residentes del estado, sin importar su estatus migratorio, tengan acceso a servicios estatales vitales, eliminando barreras administrativas que actualmente excluyen a miles de personas.
Como organización, respaldamos firmemente esta propuesta y trabajamos desde nuestra trinchera para asegurar que la información, los recursos y el apoyo lleguen a quienes más lo necesitan.
El camino continúa
Este rally fue un paso poderoso, pero la lucha no termina aquí.
Desde UCCW renovamos nuestro compromiso de acompañar, empoderar y amplificar las voces de nuestra comunidad inmigrante. Seguiremos trabajando porque cada persona merece ser vista, escuchada y respetada.
