In an increasingly digital world, possessing technological skills is crucial for enhancing both professional and personal growth. At UCCW, we are proud to offer the TECH SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: A STEM ALLIANCE PROGRAM, a course designed to empower our participants with essential tech tools that will advance their careers and improve their daily lives. Many of our participants are also part of the Between Friends Support Group, a program sponsored by the Westchester County Office for Women, which supports women who have experienced domestic violence. This additional support allows them to rebuild their lives and embrace new opportunities.
This 15-hour intensive program provides participants with the opportunity to develop practical skills in digital platforms such as Google Suite. From day one, each participant uses a Chromebook to explore the digital world and apply what they’ve learned to meaningful projects in their personal and professional lives. Upon completing the course, they receive this Chromebook as a lasting resource to continue honing their skills.

The skills gained through this program open new doors in the professional realm, making job searches and competitiveness in an increasingly demanding market more manageable. Mastery of digital tools like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides is essential for nearly any professional position today, and program participants are well-prepared to tackle these challenges with increased confidence.
Beyond professional benefits, participants also build greater confidence in their ability to engage with technology, enabling them to perform everyday tasks more efficiently and connect with the world around them in new and meaningful ways.

El Impacto Transformador del Programa TECH SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: A STEM ALLIANCE PROGRAM
En un mundo cada vez más digital, poseer habilidades tecnológicas se ha vuelto fundamental para mejorar tanto en el ámbito laboral como personal. Es por eso que en UCCW, estamos orgullosos de haber implementado el programa TECH SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: A STEM ALLIANCE PROGRAM, un curso diseñado para empoderar a nuestros participantes con herramientas tecnológicas esenciales que les permitirán avanzar en sus carreras y mejorar sus vidas diarias. Muchos de nuestros participantes también forman parte del Between Friends Support Group, un programa financiado por la Oficina para la Mujer del Condado de Westchester, que apoya a mujeres que han sufrido violencia doméstica, brindándoles el apoyo necesario para reconstruir sus vidas y abrazar nuevas oportunidades.
Este programa, compuesto por 15 horas de formación intensiva, ofrece a los participantes la oportunidad de desarrollar competencias prácticas en plataformas tecnológicas como Google Suite. Desde el primer día, cada participante utiliza una Chromebook que les permite explorar el mundo digital y aplicar lo aprendido en proyectos relevantes para su vida personal y profesional. Al finalizar el curso, se les entrega esta Chromebook como un recurso permanente para seguir fortaleciendo sus habilidades.
